Pretty Smart is a love letter to women with something to say: those with bold thoughts and inquisitive minds. In thought-provoking conversations with some of today’s most dynamic voices – from entrepreneurs and authors to politicians and celebrities – journalist Danielle Robay digs into the hearts, souls, and stories of people who put a new spin on Pretty.

Each week, they tackle a new idea, and hold up a mirror to our culture, asking questions about what works for us and what we can work to change. No topic is off limits – come as you are and join Danielle every Thursday to feel pretty inspired, pretty seen, and best of all: Pretty Smart.

Danielle Robay is a TV host and journalist, currently a correspondent for IMDb and NBC4-LA. You’ve seen her bring her trademark blend of energy, wit, and candid cultural commentary to HLN’s Dr. Drew (as the recurring millennial voice) and national television programs like E!, EXTRA, Entertainment Tonight Online, The Steve Harvey Show, Good Morning Britain (ITV), Morning Buzz (VH1), and NBC’s 1st Look—and to her loyal social media following of over 250,000 followers across major digital platforms.

In 2016, Danielle was named co-host of WCIU’s Chicago-based, 2 hour-live morning news program The Jam, making her the youngest morning TV host in Chicago’s history. She’s created, written, and produced TV and online content; and hosted live TV shows, round tables, red carpet events, and interviewed the biggest names in Hollywood—she’s chatted with everyone from Taylor Swift + Michael B. Jordan, to Helen Mirren + Tom Hanks.

“ROBAY FINDS A WAY TO DRAW PEOPLE OUT. SHE CAN’T HELP IT, AND YOU CAN’T HELP BUT OBLIGE. THIS IS THE CASE FOR ANYONE IN HER PRESENCE, WHETHER YOU’RE A WRITER, A HERMIT OR A FIVE-STAR CELEBRITY, BECAUSE ROBAY HAS THE ABILITY TO MAKE PEOPLE FEEL SEEN.” – LARRY KING

Just like Barbara Walters did for earlier generations of women, Robay seeks to transform her generation’s relationship with popular media, creating a platform for young women to shape the world through open dialogue. You can learn more about Danielle on her website or on Instagram and Twitter.
